Jesus started His ministry by turning water into wine. He ended His ministry with a basin of water and a towel. He started with the miraculous and ended with the mundane.

It is easy to keep rules but it is not easy to build relationships. You can’t stay happily married if all you have is rules.

You cannot make a hundred fold saint out of a thirty fold saint.

Paul said to Timothy, “Study to show thyself approved.” If you don’t study, you are not approved.

Jesus washed the feet of all the disciples including Judas. He was not afraid to wash the feet of a contaminated brother. Jesus washed the feet of people that He knew was conniving against Him. Peter learned the lesson of humility well. Notice how many times he mentioned humility in his two epistles.

Our self-righteousness will only get us the best seat in hell.

When Jesus knew that the Father had delivered everything into His hands, He took a towel. What would you have taken when you came to this understanding?

Communion is remembering him
Foot washing is remembering others.

Promotion comes from your enemies. Trials come from your friends.

Jesus said, "The zeal of God's house hath eaten me up." What’s eating you up?
