Miracle Offering from the Pentecostals of Bossier

July 20, our evangelist, Jonathan Haygood challenged The Pentecostals of Bossier City to give what we are calling our "Miracle Offering" to Foreign Missions. I have been personally overwhelmed by what has truly been a miracle. As of September 14, the offerings placed in front of the pulpit had reached $450,000.00. More has been pledged. These same people responded again this past Sunday and gave over $20,000 to Sheaves for Christ. Our tithing has not suffered during this time but has probably increased. Hallelujah!

John wished above all things that his fellow laborers in the church would prosper and be in health even as their souls prospered. Jesus said, "Give and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together, running over ... " If we live out God's principles of tithing and offerings, His Word promises that He will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon us. However, do not forget that Jesus judged the rich fool for hoarding. The rich fool was not judged because he was blessed with great crops. We know that it was the Lord who caused him to prosper. He was judged for hoarding.

There are so many wonderful stories to tell about various people who sacrificially gave that this site does not provide enough space to share them. The stories of sowing in The Kingdom and reaping a harvest will come later. For now, join with us and rejoice!!!

Certainly a remarkably large offering. However, I see no mention in the posting that the amount specified to Evangelist Haygood by the Lord (according to Evangelist Haygood's own words) and to the church by Evangelist Haygood was $50,000,000.00. (Fifty million, that is; about one percent of that amount has been received to date so far as I know.) Shouldn't this fact be mentioned, perhaps, for the sake of completeness?
